crazy drivers
Feb. 7th, 2006 10:51 amFolks, I would just like to warn you all that the government has once again allowed another nutcase out on the roads....
Yep, I went and got my license renewed today. *ph34r* The best part was when Noel (my car for those who haven't had thesheer terror joy of riding with me) almost stalled getting out of the parking lot. I thought breaking down at the DMV might be somehow poetic.
Okay, and as a totally selfish meme... I wanna find out who reads this sucker, soooooooo- comment and I'll give you a drabble in the reply. Gimme a prompt, and I shall do my best to write it for you. Basically, this is ME bribing YOU to comment in my LJ... come on, toss the girl a cookie or something, okay?

“Tell me again why we’re out here in the middle of nowhere?” Han leaned back in the pilot’s chair, watching a pair of X-Wings cross by the viewport of the Millennium Falcon, waggling their wings in greeting. “And why’d we have to bring the space cowboys along for the ride?”
Luke spoke up from behind Han’s chair, watching the planet grow closer. “The Senators get nervous when war heroes start roaming the galaxy without an escort, Han, and I didn’t exactly feel like bringing the entire fleet out here to check on a planet that may or may not have Force sensitives on it.”
“What makes you think they’re Force sensitive?”
“Apparently there’s a race that claims to be able to hear trees, somewhat like the Ithorians.”
Leaving the Rogues in orbit, they landed the Falcon near what looked like a sea of trees. Together with C-3PO, they left the ship only to come immediately face-to-face with a row of arrows. Han mumbled something sounding suspiciously like “not again.” Even more surprising were the creatures holding the bows. Luke flashed back to old legends he’d heard of angels on the moons of Iego. They must be something like this. One of the beings said something. “3PO?”
“I’m not entirely certain, Master Luke. It appears to be an old form of-“
“Alright, but what did he say?”
“Oh. Yes. Something about his name being… Green Leaf, I believe, and that we should leave immediately. I believe he’s serious, sir.”
Luke closed his eyes and pushed out with the Force. Though these creatures fairly glowed with the Living Force, they seemed completely unaware of it. “Let’s go, Han.” Luke turned back to the ship, ignoring Han’s protests. All this way for a dead end. Feeling the Force around him, though… he decided it hadn’t been a dead end, after all. He’d have to come back again. Listening to Han’s grumbling, he decided that next time, maybe he’d come without the space cowboys.

Date: 2006-02-07 11:19 pm (UTC)“Brother?” The people, the ones he was here for, were coming closer. He tensed.
“Wait.” So he did. He was patient.
When the command finally came, he moved quickly, scythe already out and flashing, reflecting a blood red moon, making him an ethereal last vision. Ordinary people such as the soldiers presented little difficulty to him. He stood, blood-spattered, awaiting any word from the silent spectator.
“Good enough. Let’s go.” Golden hair dripping ichor, he followed. He did not expect more, nor did he get it. His brother had acknowledged his kill as good, him as good. It was enough.

As far as prompts go...
Gun, blood, smoke, wind.
^_^ Have fun.

Date: 2006-03-22 02:23 am (UTC)He was trapped. He knew it, his pursuers knew it, but he couldn’t give up. He smirked. Giving up just wasn’t his style. A gust of wind blew down the blind alley, bringing with it the dry scent of blood and smoke curling together around the sound of echoing gunfire from the mouth of the alley. They were coming. He knew the rounds he had left weren’t going to do him much good, but still the weight of the gun and the feel of it in his hand gave him a strange confidence. The hunters wouldn’t know what hit them.

He looked out his window as the parade of Hitler Youth went by. Honestly, who did these people think they were kidding? He couldn’t help but feel scorn for the straight lines of children-
he didn’t care what they called them, these were CHILDREN learning to hate like this
- goosestepping through the rows of houses filled with people who were not and never would be ‘perfect.’ There was no perfection, he’d learned that the hard way. He hated himself for it, but he couldn’t escape his reality. He.. couldn’t. He was too weak even to escape that which was sent to tempt him into further imperfection. He hated himself, hated the monster, hated… everything about this world that kept him from the one thing he truly wanted-
want was what had gotten him into this in the first place, hadn’t it? wanting too much
-which was a way home.
They called themselves Ubermensch, a master race, perfect humans… they weren’t anymore perfect than he was and… well, he’d met the ‘Ubermensch,’ back in his own world and in his nightmares.
Waking nightmares, filled with hands and teeth and… no. He wouldn’t, couldn’t think about the monster. Heh… if these people knew what a true ‘Ubermensch’ was, they’d run screaming for the hills and never speak the word again. He was half tempted to-
temptation, always temptation, wasn’t it?
-turn the monster loose. But he wouldn’t. He watched the last of the children go by, wondering how they could consider blond and blue to be so perfect when true terror, true power, true… perfection.. came only in black and purple.

Date: 2006-03-22 03:58 am (UTC)I never considered using the actual Hitler Youth, and that? Is a stroke of genius, kthnx. Seriously. The way you handled this, with his thoughts cutting into the narration, and the way that there's just vague hints of something dangerously alluring between them and the subtle indication that Edward has control ("He was half tempted to turn the monster loose.") just make me happy all over. ♥
In short? I love you. *_______*
