❥ Peer pressure, man. It always seems to come back to the peer pressure.

...Well, okay, maybe it's a bit about her attitude, a lot about the fact that she'll stand up to anything and everything that gets in her way when she wants something, with just a hint of a nod to the fact that I like snark. Still a lot about peer pressure, though. She's not the first pup I've picked up because I wanted to play in a certain canon. I was actually going to app Surreal first, but Tad wanted her, so I went back to the books and thought and thought and was like 'well, I can probably play her, maybe' and wrote the app. And apparently didn't suck too badly. XD

❥ She has good traits? I KID! I KID! I think her best trait is definitely her outlook on life. I mean, she comes through this crappy childhood, and she could've turned out all learned-helplessness and whatever like the other witches in her uncle's court, but she didn't. Granted, she possibly overcorrected a bit, BUT she still stayed her own person and a strong queen despite EVERYTHING that tried to make it otherwise.

❥ The same as above. XD No, seriously, it is. The same strength that got her through the threat her uncle and his cronies posed made her... well, 'difficult.' Karla is not the sort to get along with everyone or even want to. That sharp tongue of hers shows no mercy.

❥ So amazingly difficult. Sometimes the muses just sort of move in, which makes them easy to play. Aaaaaand then sometimes I have to drag them in, kicking and screaming, and just hope I grabbed the right one. Karla is one of the latter. Half the time, I'm positive she's amazingly OOC and the BJT cast is just too nice to say anything about it. -_-;

❥ ...Let me get back to you on this one. >.>;

❥ Weeeeell, I am, um... having thoughts about damned at the moment, and I'm not sure which way they'll eventually fall. However, barring that, she'll continue there. No plans to inflict her on the rest of the world, though.

❥ Man, what DIDN'T I love about Raistlin? Actually, I think it was probably the fact that, just because he was a little bitch, he got cursed to see nothing but death for the REST OF HIS LIFE, and he STILL eventually saved the world. ...Granted, it wasn't exactly by his choice, BUT! I just love everything about him, but especially that he took that lesson in 'humility' and went 'y'know what? fuck you, I'mma be a GOD!'

❥ Determination. Definitely. Raistlin does not give up. Not for anything or anyone except possibly secretly Caramon, but we don't speak of that. This sickly little kid from nowhere becomes a literal god and all because he WANTED to. ...Granted, he kills everything else on his way there, but they fixed that, anyway, so it's okay.

❥ Ahahaha, do you want the short list or the long? XD How about the aforementioned willingness to go over or through any possible obstacle in his way to get what he wants?

❥ Agh, Raistlin was impossible. It's why I only played him for a short time. Then again, I hadn't read the entire series in some time when I first picked him up, so maybe I'll do that and try to resurrect him at some point. I only picked him up then because a friend of a friend was playing Tas, so it worked out.

❥ I never really felt comfortable with him, even though I don't think he's that hard to get the mentality down. It was just always sort of a tough time to get a 'straight answer' from him, so to speak.

❥ He's definitely on my 'man, I'd like to pick him back up someday' list. If I could ever find a place to play him. Y'know... where he wouldn't just get ignored/immediately flattened by something large and scary due to lack of bodyguard.

I agree with everything you said. He's such an awesome character and has an amazing sense of determination. But even if you've read all the books, I think Raistlin's difficult. Or rather, not really difficult as he just takes a lot of work. Like you said, it's not hard to get the mentality down, it's just hard to keep it up.

He really is. I mean, because he's HUMAN, you know? He puts himself first, sure, but then there's.. eh, what's her name? The cave dwarf whose name I'm completely blanking on. Her. He protects her when he didn't have to. Of course, then he turns around and tries to kill Caramon on numerous occasions for power.

That's why I played his younger, red-robed self. The black mage Raistlin is just WAY too complicated.

❥ Um... I didn't? *hides* No, really. Hakkai was my least favorite for a very long time, but then when I started to get into rping I was just really getting into Saiyuki fandom, so I decided I wanted to pick up a character from Saiyuki. But Goku (my first choice) was taken at the site I played on, as was... Gojyo, I think. (Well, we actually had all three of the rest of the ikkou. I just didn't know it, then.) I didn't really want to pick up Sanzo, so I decided, hey, why not? I'd try the murderer. I never DISliked him, he just wasn't my favorite. But then I got into his head and now I luffles him muchly. I really end up picking up a lot of my pups on accident. ^_^;;;;;;;

❥ This is more difficult than it should be... um... His loyalty, such as it is, I suppose. It's more blatant obsession and possessiveness, but 'loyalty' sounds nicer, and it all comes out the same in the end, more or less.

❥ Pretty much everything else. His antisocialness is what makes him hardest to play, though, so we'll go with that. His worldview is just sooooo artificially narrowed that half the time he doesn't even recognize that other people exist and the rest of the time he doesn't want anything to do with them, anyway.

❥ Ironically, Hakkai was and is, and this goes for all versions of him, the single easiest character I have ever played. Which, considering how I picked the original one up, is saying something. Sometimes I worry that I can find his voice so easily. XD

❥ Um... that's a tough one... I mean, I've been playing the original for something like two years now, picking just one thread out of that is like picking a needle out of a haystack. Add in the one I had at Landel's, and you've got at least three years' worth of threads. There was one, though, with the ikkou talking about... something at the local inn ingame, and this was pretty soon after the four of us who became our core ikkou got together, and the four of us just really clicked for me, and it was one of those 'this feels RIGHT' sort of rp moments, you know?

The thread where he tortured Banri to death was also especially fun for me. XD He'd totally do it, too.

❥ Well, the one is still ongoing, and if Zal's game picks up, there's one there. I wouldn't mind finding more places for him, though. He's definitely my favorite to play.

❥ Well, I liked Omi right off the bat from the first few episodes of Weiss. Especially once we got around to his backstory and stuff. I've wanted to play an AU Omi for quite a while and toyed around with a bunch of different ideas, but then Ani had her firestarter!Ken and I was all 'ooh! evil!' and we talked about an evil!Omi and eventually along came Mamoru.

❥ We'll go with just Mamoru, because they have so few similarities. ...This could take a while. Um. Good trait... oh! I know! He's much better at having fun than his canon counterpart. Granted, that fun usually involves using people as human superconductors, but still. He's got a good sense of humor.

❥ He's really not sane. At all. It makes it a bit hard to play him sometimes. All the crazy without being able to outwardly show much of it because he's been so highly conditioned.

❥ Since he's so AU he's practically an OC, it's really not that hard to get his voice. Keeping him still related to his canon, though, is sometimes difficult. So he's pretty middle-of-the-road as far as ease of play goes.

❥ Talking to the cats his first appearance in the Nexus. I don't know why, but that one really just seems like it WORKED for me.

❥ Oh, he'll continue popping up here and there to cause trouble. It's just what he does.

❥ I'm pretty much making it up as I go along, so she's not so bad. I do sort of have to be in a certain mindset to want to play her, though.

❥ Dunno about 'capturing' her, but my favorite thread with her was the one where Doku was about three posts away from killing her if Gojyo hadn't left. That was a great thread, oh yes. Think I broke poor Jien. XD

❥ Oh, she's here or there or somewhere, wandering around in a hysteric daze. If plot ever quiets down to the point where more pointless angst wouldn't be overkill, she might wander back in.
