Me: Thank God. *heads back upstairs*


So that was my night. How's yours?


(Slightly more normal summary: There was a tornado warning tonight, whee. It took me a minute to figure out what the sirens were, since it's been so long since I've heard them go off, and the first time here in this apartment. I headed out to my balcony, as any good Nebraskan will when there's a tornado warning (or to the patio, or the driveway, or...) but the amazingly strong gusts of wind and approaching wall o' rain (literally. I could see it coming) were more than I wanted to deal with while on the third floor, so I headed down to the basement. I know, I know, I probably forfeited my Nebraska citizenship for that, but oh well.)

That's the only thing I hate about living in Tornado Alley.

Although if you forfeited your Nebraska citizenship for taking cover after you took a look outside, then I forfeited my Oklahoma citizenship a long time ago. I hate tornado sirens so much, and it baffles me how some people can go stand out on the porch or in the driveway and just STARE. :/ I go for shelter immediately.

Sirens went off down south too, but there was nary a wall o rain to be seen. Pavement barely got wet. Disappointing, I say.

But I'm one of those who'll go 'OOH A STORM. CAN WE GO DRIVE AROUND IN IT? :D' I wanna be a storm spotter :< LIKE IN TWISTER.

Storms are the one thing that I almost miss enough to make me move back home. I totally hear you on storm chasing.

I think I'm going to make myself a tornado icon now. How have I gone this long without weather icons?
